KAMILLE AU KANADA gained her first success in this country with a fluent victory in a mares’ maiden hurdle over two and a half miles at Plumpton on Tuesday evening ridden by Sam Twiston-Davies.
It was a lovely performance in the colours of Diana Goodall, Nicola Rogers and Anita Warwick who have a nice prospect on their hands.
We bought Kamille Au Kanada at the Goffs sale at Newbury at the end of November on the strength of her promise in winning two Point-to-Points in Ireland.
I thought she floated along when trotted up that day and was very taken by her.
She then ran very well on her debut for us in finishing fourth in a Listed bumper at Sandown on Imperial Cup day at Sandown before coming second at Plumpton last month.
Her jumping has been very good at home and improved on Tuesday as the race developed. She was impressively rapid over the last few flights and I was really pleased with her.
Kamille Au Kanada has been in training for quite a while now and has earned a nice holiday.
