ANOTHER REWARDING SATURDAY . . . .

Another rewarding Saturday took the total prize money won by our horses this to almost £720,000.

Marhaba Prince gave us the perfect start to the afternoon with a really determined victory in the opening two mile maiden hurdle at Chepstow in the colours of Crest Racing V111.
Then it was the turn of  Kdeux Saint Fray and Gustavian who did us proud by finishing third and fourth in the £85,000 Ladbroke Trophy Handicap Chase at Kempton.

Marhaba Prince had to dig deep to see off two challengers in a tight finish as he recorded our 42nd winner of the campaign. He’s had two quick races, is progressing nicely, handles deep ground and could run next in a novice under a penalty in a few weeks.

There are still a handful shares available in Marhaba Prince. If anyone reading this is interested in getting involved do please contact me.

At Kempton Gustavian capped a fine season by running yet another fine race by leading until the third last before he was overtaken by younger legs. He kept on dourly to claim fourth place behind Kdeux Saint Fray, aged six, who was running over fences for only the fifth time.

Gustavian is eleven now, a hardy veteran who still clearly enjoys his racing while Kdeux Saint Fray did very well on his first try at three miles, got into a lovely rhythm and should continue to improve with experience.
He tends to jump a little left-handed at times and I will try to find him a slightly less demanding for his next outing. Further ahead he could be one for the Badger Beer Chase at Wincanton next season.
