A SERIOUS DOUBLE AT EXETER . . . . . . .

A double at Exeter on deep ground on Tuesday maintained the fine form of our team. Both winners are lovely young prospects who can only get better with experience.

SERIOUS CHARGES was the first on the scoresheet, with a pleasing success on his debut over hurdles in the Try Racing TV For Free Now Maiden Hurdle, partnered by Rex Dingle.  Thrillingly, this win marked 100 career wins for Rex !!

The talented FIRESTREAM then completed the double with a decisive victory in the racingtv.com/freemonth Open National Hunt Flat Race, ridden by Aidan Coleman.

Rex kept things simple on Serious Charges, a big, strong, scopey type who had shown great promise on his debut for us in a bumper at Chepstow. He made just about all the running at Exeter, jumping very well, and kept on stoutly as he beat Scarface by three and three quarter lengths. He’s going to make a proper chaser in due course, and runs in the colours of Potwell Racing Syndicate 3. A few shares are still available – for further details please check out the SALES PAGE or call Anthony on 07815898569, or our office on 01308867452.

We’ve always thought a lot of Firestream, who was left in front early in the straight, soon drew clear and stayed on strongly to win by 11 lengths from Pimlico Point despite being eased in the closing stages. A well bred five year old out of a top class English jumping mare, Firestream is a full brother to 2 winners, and looks sure to enhance his family’s reputation.

While plans are fluid, I’m thinking of by-passing Cheltenham with Firestream, and keeping him for the bumper at Aintree’s Grand National meeting.
