GETMETOTHEMOON gained her fourth success with a clear-cut victory in a £13,650 handicap hurdle over two and quarter miles at Stratford on Sunday in the colours of her breeders the House Family Partnership.
Although she hadn’t run since January she’s a mare who goes well fresh and has a decent record on tight left-handed tracks.
Her best performances also tend to come in better races when she is getting plenty of weight.
Chad Bament trailed the field on Getmetothemoon for much of the race but was quick to make his move when the leader Edelak came down at the third last flight.
They were soon upsides Donnie Azoff and after a brief tussle turning for home moved ahead to win with something to spare by five and a half lengths.
We will give Getmetothemoon a bit of an easy time before looking for another suitable opportunity for her in a month or so.
