A double at Plumpton on Monday took our score for the season to thirty which is by some way our best tally before Christmas.
Our horses continue in good form, have now earned £300,000 in prize money and hopefully there is plenty more to come.
Both our winners were ridden by Sam Twiston-Davies who was at his best on Jail No Bail who came from off the pace to catch Ken Roy after the final flight in the maiden hurdle.
Sam saved every bit of ground and energy on Jail No Bail who has had a lot of problems including a leg fracture which required surgery and a long recuperation.
I was delighted to see the patience of his owners finally rewarded after all the trauma their horse has endured.
He’s a big, stuffy type, enjoyed an away day with some of our bumper squad a month ago, and is likely to go chasing when he runs next.
Easy Love then completed our double with a hard-earned success in the closing bumper in the colours of The Amantes Syndicate although she had to survive a stewards’ enquiry before the result was confirmed.
She is a beautiful looking filly with a bit of quality from a good family and was a comfortable winner of her only Point-to-Point in Ireland.
Easy Love misfired a little bit on her debut for us at Ffos Las last month but learned plenty from the experience and was much sharper on Monday.
She appreciated the stronger test of stamina at Plumpton and kept on willingly when challenged in the closing stages.
I’d like to think Easy Love has a bright future and we still have quite a few shares available in her at £5,300 plus VAT each.
