GOOD THINGS COME TO FAROUK IN THREE’S . . . . . . .

FAROUK DE CHENEAU completed an impressive hat-trick since joining us with another clear-cut success in a £13,650 novice handicap Chase at Newton Abbot in the colours of Owners Group 049.He was continuing the fine form of our team who are making good use of safe ground at this time of year after so much rain.

We are usually very quiet at the height of the summer but have now had nine winners who have earned not far short of £60,000 this season.

Farouk de Cheneau has been a key contributor. Sam Twiston-Davies always had him handy on the inside as his main rival Landen Calling constantly gave away ground by jumping to his right. The pair were together over the second last before Farouk de Cheneau began to forge ahead on his way to a sixteen length victory.

I was delighted to see plenty of his owners on hand to greet him afterwards. They have had so much fun with their eight year old chaser who will have another short break now before heading to Cartmel late next month for another handicap.

He will be raised again from his current mark of 131 but should still be competitive once the handicapper has had his say.

  1. It was a brilliant day yesterday. Thank you Anthony and your team, and Owners Group, for a wonderful day with fabulous horses.

  2. Loved his journey with this trainer. Such a clean jumper for a little horse and you can see the partnership of Sam and Farouk growing all the time.

  3. I join fellow owners like ourselves who persevered with this handsome and willing horse.

Patience is a virtue as I was shown again in his three in a row win.

It’s a privilege to be involved with Owners Group

Hanks to everyone involved in this lads training. He is truly a star in our eyes.

    Love you Farouk x

  4. Delighted to see Farouk thriving! His jumping has been excellent, and he evidently enjoys being the centre of attention!

  5. We all hope that Farouk de Cheneau is OK after yesterday’s race at Bangor…we keep our fingers crossed for him…thank you Anthony and your team for giving us small shareholders huge enjoyment…
