DON’T FERRET – JEETER HAS THIS COVERED . . . . . . . .

FERRET JEETER took our seasonal tally to 47 with an impressive victory on his chasing debut at Plumpton on Monday, running in the colours of Richard Matthews.

It was particularly pleasing to see Richard’s patience rewarded after a challenging period. A tendon strain had previously kept the horse on the side lines for some time, making this success all the more satisfying.

As a result, Ferret Jeeter remains relatively lightly raced for a nine-year-old and clearly retains plenty of enthusiasm. He jumped well overall under top weight in a Class 5 0–100 handicap over three and a quarter miles, aside from a minor early mistake.

Our 7lb-claiming conditional, Chad Bament, continues to build a strong partnership with him. This was their third win together, and Chad is making the most of his opportunities.

Given how strongly Ferret Jeeter sees out his races, there is every reason to believe he can continue to progress over fences.
