CATTERICK TRIP PAYS OFF . . . . . . . . . .

KDEUX SAINT FRAY justified the long journey north from Potwell to Yorkshire with a fluent success on his hurdles debut at Catterick in the colours of Les Blues Fonces.

He’s progressing nicely having won a Point-to-Point, bumper and now a maiden from only four starts.

Our horses have been running tidily over the last few days with several hitting the crossbar without quite managing to win so it was good to see Kdeux Saint Fray record our 31st victory of the campaign.

There was so much to like about the way he travelled and jumped before finishing with plenty in reserve as he beat the favourite Tamarind Bay by five and a half lengths.

I have the option of turning him out under a penalty in a novice hurdle in a few week’s time.

But his jumping is so slick I am tempted to take him to trials day at Cheltenham at the end of January for a Grade 2 novice hurdle.

A big thank you to Katy and Sophie who looked after him on the long journey to Catterick plus all the team at home and away.
