A FONTWELL DREAM FOR BLUE AND FREDDIE . . . . . .

Dreaming Blue took our score for the season to 38 with a clear-cut success in a Class 4 Handicap Chase over two and a quarter miles on heavy ground at Fontwell on Thursday.
I’d been talking to his owner Roger Devlin about dropping him back in trip in testing conditions and the plan worked out well once he claimed the lead three fences from home.
From that point Dreaming Blue pulled away from his rivals to record a sixteen length success.
He deserved his victory after running consistently and given that he was set to carry top weight of 12st 2lbs it helped to make use of Freddie Gingell’s 5lbs claim.
Dreaming Blue is qualified for a £50,000 Handicap Chase at Warwick next week but I will see how he comes of his race at Fontwell before making any firm plans.
