The House family’s homebred mare GETMETOTHEMOON bounced back to form in a two mile Class 4 handicap hurdle over two miles at Stratford on Saturday after two below par runs in the summer.
We found a couple of niggly little issues when we checked her out after she finished in the rear at Fontwell towards the end of August and were hopeful we had sorted them out.
But you can never be sure until they run again and it was lovely to see Getmetothemoon travel kindly through the race at Stratford before winning tidily in the hands of Chad Bament.
It was a remarkable turn-around in her fortunes this autumn given that she was only just doing enough in a tight finish with her ears pricked.
As Getmetothemoon likes decent ground we will look for a similar race for her in a fortnight’s time.
