PROVING SHE’S MORE THAN CAPABLE . . . . . . . . . . .

KAPABILITY made the perfect start to her racing career with an impressive success in a Class 2 £15,000 mares’ bumper at Aintree on Sunday, in the hands of champion jockey Harry Cobden.

An attractive four year old by the Derby winner Authorized from a decent family, she was our first runner for Richard and Carol Cheshire.

While Kapability had been working nicely at home we hadn’t been at all hard on her. She was always handy just behind the leaders, cruised into the lead early in the straight, was soon clear and kept on strongly to win in style.

It was a lovely performance on her debut and she is entitled to improve on it as she hadn’t had an away day.

I’m not in a hurry to turn Kapability out again quickly and may keep her for a Listed mares’ bumper at Huntingdon early in December.

Nearer to home Glynn and Credo both finished in the money at Wincanton. We should be getting busy with our winter team in a week or so and a drop of rain will definitely help.
