GETMETOTHEMOON gained her second success with a thrilling late run that took her to the front in the final strides of a Class 5 handicap hurdle at Plumpton on Monday in the colours of the House family.
She has been a model of consistency since going handicapping and was given a very good ride by our conditional Chad Bament who is making full use of his 10lbs claim.
Chad managed to keep tabs on the leader whilst on Getmetothemoon who jumps fluently, travels well and found just enough to catch Little Soirée close to home.
This was her last run before a well-earned break and though the testing conditions were far from ideal, I felt she had to take her chance given that it wasn’t the strongest race for the grade.
She will now have a nice holiday with Richard House and his family before returning to Potwell for a summer campaign.
Getmetothemoon was our 36th winner of the campaign which has seen our horses earn just over £450,000 with more than two and a half months of the season to go.
