ANOTHER LONG JOURNEY FROM DORSET MADE WORTHWHILE . . . . . . .

CREDO gained her second success in a valuable three mile Veterans Chase qualifier in less than two months with a comfortable victory at Carlisle on Sunday, ridden by champion jockey Harry Cobden.

Having won the Exeter qualifier on her early in February, Harry was keen to ride her more prominently this time and give her a bit of daylight to see her fences.

The tactics worked perfectly as Credo jumped soundly the whole, way before easing ahead at the final fence and stretching clear in the colours of the Potwell Racing syndicate II.

With Sam Brown winning the Newbury veterans Chase we have now landed the first three legs of the qualifiers.

Credo has proved to be a wonderfully consistent mare and in giving us the 44th triumph of the season she took the prize money won by our horses this season to just short of £600,000.

I’ll give her an entry at Ascot next Sunday in case the rain comes but I imagine she is more likely to head for a Listed mares’ race at Perth in search of black type

She could also be given an entry in a four mile chase handicap at Punchestown.
