GBB BONUS & A WINNING BOW . . . . . . .

QUEEN’S THEATRE made a pleasing winning debut over hurdles at Fontwell on Monday in the colours of the No Actors Here Syndicate.

She was our 26th winner of a rewarding season as we continue to close on the total of £400,000 prize money won by our horses at a strike rate of 20%.

While her jumping wasn’t always foot perfect, it improved as the race went on and she was always in the first two before showing a nice attitude to see off the challenge of Pollyanna’s Dream in the closing stages.

Queen’s Theatre was a bit of a slow learner in her bumpers and I remember that the penny only dropped for her late on when she was successful at Plumpton.

Although she’d done plenty of schooling at home, it was no surprise to see her a little high over a couple of hurdles at Fontwell, showing understandable signs of inexperience.

In a way she was learning on the job and it was lovely that she collected a valuable GBB bonus for her victory.

Queen’s Theatre remains a nice prospect with a promising future and is likely to run next under a penalty in a mares’ novice hurdle.
