DANCE AND GLANCE enjoyed a nice school round Southwell on Friday on the way to an easy success on his debut over hurdles in the colours of Mere Racing.
He’s a horse we have always liked which is why we were a little a bit disappointed that he could only finish tenth in the £100,000 Goffs bumper at Newbury in March.
Next time though Dance and Glance confirmed our opinion of him with a clear-cut success from the front at Plumpton.
Given it was his first race over hurdles on Friday he was quite professional upsides in front, jumped well in the main, made most of the running and coasted home by sixteen lengths ridden by Richie McLernon to deliver our 22nd winner of the season.
Sterner tests lie ahead for Dance and Glance but there should be plenty of improvement to come and he could be out again fairly soon in a novice hurdle under a penalty.
