JUGGERNAUT GETS HIS HEAD IN FRONT AT FFOS LAS . . . . . .

JUGGERNAUT extended our good start to the new season with his first success in a maiden hurdle at Ffos Las on Saturday evening in the colours of Martyn Chapman and Gill Langford.

With the odds on favourite pulling up it probably wasn’t the strongest of races but Juggernaut did a lot right and ridden by Rex Dingle he showed a pleasing attitude to see off the runner up Deal Em High.

He is a bonny horse by Spanish Moon, a handy size, and jumped tidily before showing a nice bit of resolution to seal the victory after leading approaching the final flight.

We gave Juggernaut a little break after he had a minor blip following his previous start at Hereford in February and he showed the benefit of that on Saturday.

He is getting stronger all the time and now that he has broken his duck we can look at running him on better ground in the autumn.

Later in the evening I thought Tulin ran very well when finishing third under top weight in the two and a half mile handicap hurdle on his first start since he was sent to us by Elite Racing.

With the weather set fair and the ground drying up by the day nearly all our horses are now enjoying a holiday turned out to grass.

So we are unlikely to have more than a handful of runners over the next three months.
