A ‘BERRY’ GOOD DOUBLE FOR COBDEN AND JUNIPER . . . . . .

JUNIPER gained her second success inside a month with an impressive display of jumping in a three mile one furlong mares’ handicap chase at Wincanton on Wednesday in the colours of Gin N It.

She made much of the running in the hands of Harry Cobden and stretched clear in the closing stages on the way to a seventeen length defeat of Shirocco’s Dream with stable companion Lilith in third place.

Juniper’s task was helped by the fall of Touchy Feely at the second last fence but she was already in command by that stage.

Juniper is now qualified for the final of the £50,000 mares’ Challenger series handicap chase at Cheltenham on April 18 in which she finished a close second last year.
