OWNERS DAY 2025 . . . . . .

We enjoyed a big turn out and dry weather for our annual Owners’ day at Potwell on Saturday. A very big thank you to our team who put so much hard work in to make the day run smoothly.

Another big thank you to Ron Huggins who again generously donated copious amount of pink champagne for the reception to go with tasty canapés.

We then paraded just over sixty horses in our large indoor school with informative, in-running comments from the trainer before my mother, Sue, and her team of helpers laid on a lavish selection of home-made cakes, buns and other tasty goodies.

Pride of place on the afternoon has to go to the Frost family’s hardy 13 year old legend Sam Brown who looks marvellous, has earned in excess of £273,000 and is back for one final season with the Veterans’ Chase final at Sandown in January the logical target.

Trying to fit his full CV onto one page would be impossible.

With a final tally of 48 winners last season we came tantalisingly close to our first half century and we’ve made a bright start to the new campaign over the summer with eleven winners and almost £100,000 in prize money so far.

We have a lovely blend of exciting young prospects and experienced campaigners among our current team of horses and can hopefully kick on in the months ahead to set new personal marks by the final day of the season at Sandown next April.
