GALLOPS
SEABOROUGH GALLOPS
We are very lucky to have the daily use of a 5 furlong Eco Track Gallop supplied by Martin Collins. Since having the Gallop changed to Eco Track it has been exposed to a variety of weather conditions from heavy rainfall, hard frosts, and inches of snow. I am pleased to report that not one element has prevented us from using the gallop – the surface is exceptional.
Just shy of 400 winners trained on the gallop. 18 listed / graded races including 3 Aintree Festival winners / 3 Punchestown festival winners
A special mention must go to Richard Barber who designed the gallop in the early days – he trained over a thousand point to point winners himself as well as multiple Cheltenham / Aintree foxhunter winners and put us all on the right path!
The gallop, gradually climbing 150 feet, has produced notable winners over distances varying between 2 to 3 miles including:
CHELTENHAM CHAMPION BUMPER – 2013 2ND
Regal Encore
CHELTENHAM CHAMPION HURDLE – 2012 WINNER
Rock On Ruby
CHELTENHAM FOXHUNTER WINNERS
Sleeping Night
Earthmover
Fantus (1995 & 1997)
Rushing Wild
AINTREE FOXHUNTER WINNERS
Torduff Express

AINTREE MARES STANDARD OPEN NH FLAT RACE – 2012 WINNER
Eleven Fifty Nine
WELSH NATIONAL WINNER

We also have a 1.5 furlong deep sand round gallop for conditioning work.
Running parallel to the famous Seaborough gallop on the other side of the lane is a schooling ground with lines of hurdles and steeplechase fences. We like to school on the grass whenever possible, alongside our indoor school which is available to us in all weathers!
